Willie Nelson Rushed to the Hospital After Cutting Show Short

It has been reported that Willie Nelson had to be rushed to the hospital late Sunday night after being forced to cut short a show. Nelson, 84, was hospitalized after suffering from respiratory issues while performing at a show in Salt Lake City. Nelson made sure to update his fans quickly using Twitter early Monday morning. In that Tweet the country music legend said:

This is Willie I am sorry to have to cut the SLC show short tonight The altitude got to me I am feeling better now & headed for lower ground

Due to the 4,300 foot altitude at the USANA Amphitheatre, Nelson started to experience some breathing problems. Nelson has been dealing with some health issues earlier this year that caused him to cancel shows in January and February. This had people worried if the country superstar would ever be able to perform again. In March there were reports that Nelson was “deathly ill,” but his publicist, Diane Schock, quickly denied those claims and told his fans that Nelson was “perfectly fine.”

We are glad to hear that he is feeling better and can’t wait to see him performing again. What is your favorite Willie Nelson song? Let me know in the comments below!
