Star Wars: The Last Jedi Trailer: See It Here! (VIDEO)

Star Wars fans, like myself, have been waiting a while for this trailer and tonight during the Monday Night Football game between the Minnesota Vikings and the Chicago Bears we got to see it! The official trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi has been released and December 15th can’t come fast enough!

Star Wars: The Last Jedi, also known as Episode VIII, is the second film in the Star Wars sequel trilogy. This movie will also mark the end of an era in the Star Wars movies. Carrie Fisher, best known as Princess Leia or General Leia Organa, died on December 27th 2016 after completing her work for this film. It was rumored that Fisher may make appearances in Episode IX, but they were later squashed by the development team. Star Wars: The Last Jedi will be her final Star Wars appearance.

Two years ago Star Wars released Episode VII, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and it left many fans with some questions as to how and where Rey would fall into this story. At the end of the movie we all watched as Rey brings Luke his lightsaber back, which calls to her when her, Finn, BB-8, Han Solo and Chewbacca meet at Maz Kanata’s cantina. We were all left with a lot of questions as to why she was the one called by Luke’s lightsaber, which also belonged to his father Anakin.

Last year we got a look at Rogue One: A Star Wars Story which was an amazing film, but still didn’t scratch the itch that Star Wars: The Force Awakens left us with. Will we finally get the answers to those questions? Will we finally find out who Rey is and where she came from? I have heard that her background story isn’t all that interesting, but as fans we need to know this information regardless. Or at least I do! Check out the trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi and let me know what you think and what you are most excited about with this latest Star Wars film.

I wanted to like Ep VII. It had a lot of good points – especially Ray and Finn. But the “evil” in this film was a VERY BAD (and weak) imitation of the Empire, the Third Reich, and Darth Vader! Yuck! But … I’ll be there purchasing my ticket to the theater when VIII comes out! I don’t pay to see movies in theaters often, but I’m sure my hubby and I will for this next one.
